About the job

About the job

Do you enjoy tackling complex technical challenges and would you like to see your designs come to life for clients? At Flikweert Vision, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who can turn new machine concepts into reliable, manufacturable solutions, whilst looking beyond the design itself.

You play a key role in industrialising our designs by translating technically sound concepts into standardised, reproducible and efficiently manufacturable machines. Throughout the design process, you take manufacturability, assembly, material selection and practical production requirements into account.

You are responsible for technical projects, optimise existing designs and ensure that engineering knowledge, design choices and best practices are properly documented and shared. In addition, you guide and coach less experienced colleagues in their development.

About Flikweert Vision

Flikweert Vision develops advanced optical sorting machines for potatoes and onions. Our machines combine vision technology, software, AI, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering into innovative solutions for the agri-food sector. Our culture is practical and down-to-earth. We take responsibility, work hard, help each other, and enjoy what we do. Delivering good results is important to us, but collaborating and enjoying work are just as important.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced engineer with strong technical knowledge and a practical mindset. You understand the impact of design choices, independently lead projects or sub-projects, and dare to make decisions when things can be improved.

You take the initiative, work well together and turn good ideas into working solutions instead of leaving them on the drawing board.

What are you bringing?
