That is why we are looking for a Product Manager who creates clarity and provides direction. Someone who delves into the customer and market, understands what is technically possible, and translates this insight into clear product choices and priorities.

About Flikweert Vision

Flikweert Vision develops advanced optical sorting machines for potatoes and onions. Our machines combine Vision, Software, AI, Mechanics and Electrical Engineering to make sorting easier, faster and more efficient.

From Zeeland, we work with a dedicated team to develop innovative solutions that are deployed worldwide. We are entrepreneurial, grow internationally and work with short lines of communication. This means that good ideas can be quickly realized in our products and among our customers.

Your task

As a Product Manager, you look across departments and disciplines to create the total product: our optical sorting machines and the complete solution that surrounds them, which brings together mechanics, electrical engineering, software, vision, and AI. You bring information from the market, customer practice, data, sales, and product development together and translate it into clear choices.
You look beyond a single customer request, a single machine component or a single technical idea. You investigate where structural opportunities lie, which developments contribute the most to customer value and market position, and where Flikweert Vision can best deploy its development capabilities. You work closely with, among others, Sales and Product Development and have regular contact with customers and potential customers. In doing so, you look at the product as a whole: from machine functionality and performance to ease of use, software, data, serviceability, and the way our solutions add value to the customer in practice.

You are challenged to:

• Translating customer needs and market developments into clear product opportunities;
• To set direction and priorities in the further development of our products;
• Bringing together technical capabilities, commercial opportunities and business goals;
• Customer feedback, usage information, and data to turn into informed insights;
• Making tradeoffs between customer value, market position, technical feasibility, and development capacity;
• Connecting different departments and interests with each other;
• Make choices clearly substantiated and ensure that those involved understand why certain developments are given priority or not;
• Being present regularly with customers to continue understanding the practicalities behind our products.

Who are we looking for?

You are curious enough to understand the technology, analytical enough to bring information back to the core, and strong enough to then make choices. You find it interesting to move between customer, market, and technology. You ask questions, investigate what is really needed, and prefer to have your choices supported by facts rather than assumptions. In doing so, you can involve people. You listen to different interests, but also dare to lead when not everything can be done at once.

You have:

• HBO work and thinking level;
• Relevant work experience for a few years;
• Strong affinity with technology and agriculture or agri-food;
• Interest in data analysis and monitoring and the substantiation of improvements with facts;
• Strong communication skills towards both customers and colleagues;
• The willingness to visit customers regularly.

You are:

Analytical, curious, communicative and decisive. You keep an overview, take ownership and get energy from connecting people and insights to come up with better product choices.

• A salary between €3,900 and €5,500 gross per month based on 38 hours, depending on knowledge and experience.
