About Flikweert Vision

Flikweert Vision develops advanced optical sorting machines for potatoes and onions. Our machines combine Vision, Software, AI, Mechanics, and Electrical Engineering to make sorting easier, faster, and more efficient. From Zeeland, we build innovative solutions for the international agri-food sector with a dedicated team. We are growing rapidly, working in a short-staffed environment, and are actively working to further professionalize our organization and processes.

Your task

As Project Manager, you are deployed from the Portfolio Management Meeting to larger projects that often affect multiple departments. You are responsible for the process: from a clear start and concrete project approach to monitoring progress, risks, decisions, and completion. You gather information from initiators and stakeholders, map interests and dependencies, and translate them into a workable project plan. You then ensure that agreements are clear, actions are followed up, and bottlenecks are visible and discussable in a timely manner. You are conscious of impartiality. You do not represent one department or field of expertise, but ensure the interests of the project as a whole are safeguarded. That requires overview, natural authority, and the ability to involve people even without formal hierarchical positions.

You are challenged to:

• Structured guidance of larger, multidisciplinary projects from initiative to completion;
• Clarify project objectives, scope, planning, responsibilities and decision-making;
• To bring together information from initiators and stakeholders into a concrete project plan;
• Actively monitor progress, actions, decisions, risks and dependencies;
• Being able to signal when a project is at risk of stalling and to escalate it appropriately when necessary;
• Bringing together various interests without losing sight of the project's goal;
• Clearly addressing people to agreements and responsibilities while maintaining support;
• Can be built into a professional and consistent project approach within Flikweert Vision.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who brings calmness and structure to an environment where a lot of information, ideas, and interests come together. You quickly know how to distinguish between the important and the unimportant, ask sharp questions, and make it clear what is needed to take a project further. You communicate easily with different levels and disciplines and remain firm when discussions become more difficult. You create support where possible, but you dare to set boundaries, ask for decisions, and escalate when progress requires it. You don’t have to be the expert on every subject. Your strength is that you can stand above the content, maintain an overview, and ensure that the right people take responsibility at the right time.

You have:

• Minimum 10 years of work experience, of which at least 5 years of demonstrable experience in project management;
• Experience in leading multidisciplinary or department-wide projects;
• HBO work and thinking level;
• Experience working in a dynamic organization where projects involve multiple interests and dependencies;
• Experience with Jira and/or similar project management tools is an advantage.

You are:

Structured, highly communicative, proactive and persistent. You naturally have authority, are willing to ask questions and know how to get people moving in a pleasant but clear way. You can sense when to connect and when to actually step in to correct or escalate the situation.
