About the job
About the job
Don’t just ensure that our supply chain runs today, but especially build what we need tomorrow? Flikweert Vision is growing fast. We are building more machines, working increasingly internationally, and our organization is becoming more professional. That places higher demands on how we procure, plan, and organize our material and goods flows. That’s why we are looking for a Supply Chain Manager who combines insight with action. Someone who has previously seen what growth demands of a supply chain and is energized by building, improving, and professionalizing. You will have the freedom to further shape Supply Chain and work closely with the COO and the various teams within Operations. Strategically where possible, hands-on where necessary.
About Flikweert Vision
Flikweert Vision develops advanced optical sorting machines for potatoes and onions. Our machines combine Vision, Software, AI, Mechanics and Electrical Engineering to make sorting easier, faster and more efficient.
We are building innovative solutions with a driven team that are now deployed worldwide. We are enterprising, growing internationally and working with short lines of communication. That growth calls for further professionalisation, not to become more complicated, but to become more controllable, scalable and predictable as a business.
Your task
As a Supply Chain Manager, you report to the COO and are responsible for procurement, planning, transport, and logistics. You are not entering an organisation where everything is fully developed. That is precisely where your brief lies. You bring the different parts of the supply chain closer together and build a way of working in which material availability, inventory, suppliers, planning, and logistics are increasingly well aligned. In doing so, you look beyond today's operations. You see where bottlenecks will arise as we grow further, introduce structure, and ensure that improvements are actually implemented. At the same time, you stay close enough to practical realities to understand what is happening on the shop floor, with suppliers, and in planning.
You are challenged to:
- to further professionalise purchasing, planning, transport and logistics and have them operate as a single supply chain;
- to further develop the planning and increase the coherence between demand, material availability and production capacity;
- to further develop supplier management and the procurement strategy;
- to structurally improve delivery reliability, lead times and material availability;
- to optimise inventory levels and working capital without compromising production continuity;
- to scale transport and logistics processes along with our international activities;
- to develop management information that makes performance and bottlenecks visible earlier;
- to further professionalise processes, systems and the use of ERP and data;
- further develop the Supply Chain team and create clarity in responsibilities, working methods and priorities;
- to work closely with Production, Engineering, Service and Finance, among others.
The first period is all about understanding and improving. You map out the chain, make visible where the biggest bottlenecks and dependencies lie, and determine what steps are needed to prepare the Supply Chain for the next growth phase of Flikweert Vision.
Who are we looking for?
You feel at home in an organisation where not everything has been locked down in processes and systems. In fact, you find it appealing to bring structure to precisely those areas. You have previously seen how a professional supply chain functions within a manufacturing company and can translate that experience into what Flikweert Vision needs at the moment. You professionalise without adding unnecessary bureaucracy. You can manage from a broad perspective, but you do not hesitate to dive into the details yourself when necessary. You are used to bringing together different interests, making choices and then ensuring that these are also carried out.
You have:
- minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience within Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, Planning and/or Logistics;
- university of applied sciences or university working and thinking level;
- several years of experience in a similar steering and managerial role;
- demonstrable experience in building, optimising or professionalising supply chain processes and teams;
- experience within a growing and changing organisation;
- experience within the manufacturing industry; experience in mechanical engineering is an advantage;
- experience with ERP systems, planning and data-driven management using KPIs.
You are:
entrepreneurial, analytical, structured and decisive. You like short lines of communication, take ownership and know how to bring people along in changes. You combine an overview with a practical sense and derive energy from an environment where there is still real building to be done.
What we offer
- A role in which you have visible influence on how Flikweert Vision organizes its further growth.
- Plenty of scope to further shape the Supply Chain and take processes, systems and the team to the next level.
- A position in which you report directly to the COO and work closely with the various disciplines within our organisation.
- A salary between €6,000 and €8,500 depending on experience and qualifications.
- Bonus scheme
- Company car and laptop
- A working week of 36 to 40 hours.
