An entrepreneurial Finance leader who has previously seen what growth requires from an organization and who is energized by building what is needed tomorrow. As a member of the Management Team, you will have plenty of room to exert influence on the next phase of Flikweert Vision. Strategically when possible, hands-on when necessary.

About Flikweert Vision

Flikweert Vision develops advanced optical sorting machines for potatoes and onions. Our machines combine Vision, Software, AI, Mechanics and Electrical Engineering to make sorting easier, faster and more efficient. From Zeeland, we work with a driven team to develop innovative solutions that are now being deployed worldwide. We are entrepreneurial, growing internationally and working in a short-staffed manner. That growth requires further professionalization — not to become more complex, but to become more manageable, scalable and predictable as a company.

Your task

As CFO, you will report directly to the CEO and be a member of the Management Team. You are not joining us simply to lead the Finance function. Together with the CEO and the Management Team, you will help lay the foundations on which Flikweert Vision can continue to grow in the coming years.

You bring a more pronounced forward-looking approach to the organisation. You help make choices regarding growth, return, investments, risk and the further development of the enterprise. You ensure that management information does not merely look back, but helps to make better decisions. In doing so, during this phase you remain actively involved yourself. You analyse, run scenarios, sharpen forecasts and ask critical questions. At the same time, you are building a Finance organisation that is becoming increasingly professional and independent.

You are challenged to:

• To develop finance into a strategic and predictive function;
• making choices regarding growth, return, risk and investments together with the CEO and management team;
• further professionalising forecasting, KPIs and management information;
• grip on cash flow, working capital, liquidity and margin;
• to develop scenarios and business cases that accelerate decision-making;
• preparing the finance team, processes and systems for further growth;
• governance, internal control and compliance to grow with the business;
• to provide direction for real estate and fleet;
• organising legal and compliance both practically and professionally.

The initial period is all about understanding and improving. You get to know the company, see where professionalisation immediately adds value, and determine for yourself what Finance needs in terms of people, systems and working methods for the next phase.

Who are we looking for?

You feel at ease in an organisation where not everything is fully established yet. In fact, that is precisely what appeals to you. You have previously seen how a professional finance organisation operates and can apply that experience to what Flikweert Vision needs right now. You bring a professional approach without stifling the organisation’s entrepreneurial spirit. You have a sharp financial mind, but you think in terms of the business as a whole. You ask questions, aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo and, at the same time, come up with solutions. You combine vision with pragmatism and can switch seamlessly between management team issues and day-to-day operations.

You have:

• minimum of 10 years' relevant Finance experience;
• university degree level of education and a strong financial career;
• demonstrably built, developed or professionalised a Finance department or organisation;
• experience within a growing and changing organisation;
• worked for several years in a medium-sized or larger organisation;
• managerial and ultimate financial responsibility experience.

You are:

entrepreneurial, analytical, curious and decisive. You like clear information and short lines of communication, take ownership and are independent enough to ask tough questions when necessary.
